Steven Nguyen's Biography
1999: Birth
Steven "Sneaky" Nguyen, born on July 1st, 1999. Nguyen was born as Vietnamese-Czech Republican. (Mixed) He was born in Cupertino, California. He moved to Los Angeles when he was a month old. Then, moved to Anaheim when he was 3 years old and to San Jose California (moved at the age of four (4) and currently lives there to date.
2004 to 2014: Elementary to Middle School
He attended Anthony Dorsa Elementary School for his preschool years but, he skipped preschool after only 5 days attending there due to his curiosity. So he attended, Mount Pleasant Elementary School for kindergarten. Then, attended Robert Sanders Elementary School for 1st and 2nd grade. Ida Jew Elementary School (now Ida Jew Academies). He went to Valle Vista Elementary School for 4th to 6th grade. August Boeger Middle School for 7th and 8th grade.
2014: High School and Freshmen Year, origin and start of his career
But two months after his middle school graduation, his life is going to change forever, His high school is Mt Pleasant High School. He is in the Class Of 2018. He was a shy kid, experienced and dealt with suicide, and being so afraid in freshmen year. But that changes when he went to Leadership, met his teachers, ASB officers and one man that made him a great person in his school is Mr. Marcus Mosqueda! On August 2014, he worked community service hours for football games and basketball games for Leadership class and alongside Mr Mosqueda. Also, he became the protege of Mr. Mosqueda as his Leadership student.
2015: Sophomore Year and a young generation to EVC Summer 2015
In April 2015, Nguyen made his first performance in Korean Club for the Multicultural Rally 2015. (as a group) After the Multicultural Rally 2015, he has became a fan favorite despite unknown. On June 2015, he went to EVC in order to take summer classes as an opportunity by his school counselor. He took Summer 2015 semester and took a math class. On November 2015, he quit and departed from the Korean Club due to going solo and become a solo performer for MPHS as preparation of the Mr and Mrs MPHS Pageant and Talent Show 2016, which held on January 2016. On December 2015, the school announced that Steven Nguyen is locked onto the competitors' list to compete for the 2016 Mr and Mrs MPHS Pageant and Talent Show, making him the youngest competitor at the age of 16 and a sophomore.
2016: Sophomore/Junior Year, rookie season of Mr and Mrs MPHS Pageant and Talent Show, and first win
On January 2016, he made his first debut at the rehearsals back back in December 2015. He became unknown to it and became the youngest competitor as a sophomore. This is where Steven shines. His first debut to the school by performing and competing for Mr. And Mrs. MPHS Pageant And Talent Show 2016. He won Popular's Choice 2016. As a result, Nguyen took down juniors and seniors making Mt Pleasant High School history for the first time that a sophomore beats juniors and seniors at the Mr and Mrs MPHS Pageant and Talent Show. On May 2016, he performed the Farewell Rally 2016 and the people gave him more and more support. He always makes his family proud even his grandmother. He always manages his times, agenda, school and his career to the school and community service hours. With the influence of his loving parents to go Leadership, he decides to do Leadership for 4 years to be a Leadership student veteran. On June 2016, he went to EVC for the Summer 2016 semester and took U.S History in order to prepare for his junior year. On August 2016, when the junior year began, since some of the students from Leadership class he took since 2014, he was the only boy left standing as an original member and student in the OG powerhouse in Leadership from 2014.
2017: Junior & Senior Year, Back to Back Sweeps, the dominance continues for 2 in a row as Mr and Mrs MPHS Pageant and Talent Show 2 Time Champion
2017 is his 3rd year of his career for his school. On January 20 2017, he performed and competed Mr. And Mrs. MPHS Pageant And Talent Show 2017 and won Popular Choice 2017 award. Two years in a row, and two time champion. No singer and competitor that has done so much for 2 years. His one man emo kid shyness is over since 2016 started, ever since he began his first debut and is a record for Mt Pleasant High School today! No one thought he can win, but he believed he can DO IT! But a week later after the show, he has lost his beloved grandmother and she died on January 26th, 2017. When Steven lost his grandmother, without her advice to stand up to haters, he has to do it on his own to stand up to himself to his haters for her and make her legacy honored and carried on with purpose. On April 2017, he became the 1st performer ever to host a mini concert to Food Fest 2017 in his high school. On June 2017, he once again took EVC Summer 2017 Semester and took a theater class. On July 1st, 2017, he is 18 and is still determined to make his times managed with responsibility, live his life with purpose and make his senior year the best as always. Purpose is part of his life making a life is a journey. On August 5th, 2017, he announced he will take a break next year on July 1st, 2018 to focus on a normal college life and stepping out from the spotlight for a while. On August 9th, 2017, he join Mt Pleasant Choir for the first time to perform in a group and is in need for his Fine Art credits for his A-G requirements due to him for his graduation and credits to pass.
2018: Mr and Mrs MPHS Show 2018, entering as a 3 Time Champion, Final Year of his career and high school, entering college.
2018 marks his 4th year of high school, his fame, career, and Leadership. On January 2018, instead of Funko Pops, he gives away 3 free tickets to the Mr and Mrs MPHS Pageant and Talent Show 2018 which marks his 4th year of his career and his last Mr and Mrs MPHS Pageant and Talent Show because due to being a high school senior, he graduates on May 22nd, 2018 and his hiatus. He is determined to win his third consecutive Popular Choice award for 2018 or to finally fulfill his dream to become Mr MP of 2018, and also to rock out his performance. On January 19, 2018, for his third consecutive year in a row, he has won People's Choice Award (formerly Popular Choice Award) for 3 years in a row, (2016, 2017, and 2018)! Setting a new record today with 3 wins in a row and therefore, he received a sash, flowers, and crown. He is entered from a 2 Time Champion to a 3 Time Champion. After the show, he was asked on how does it feel to win 3 successful years since his first debut, he responded, "The Mr and Mrs MPHS Pageant and Talent Show is a great memory for me because, it's the 5th anniversary of the show, it's been an honor performing, competing, and being the reigning champion of Popular Choice: Male for 2016, 2017, and 2018. I'm so happy right now for defending my title for 3 years."
On February 2018, it is confirmed that he is going on a hiatus and is stepping down his career for a while on July 1st, 2018, which is the day he turns 19 years old. On March 1st, 2018, Nguyen performed with Concert Choir in a small ensemble concert.
On April 16th, 2018, he confirmed on Instagram Stories that he is performing for the Multicultural 2018 Rally since his last appearance for Multicultural 2015 Rally with Korean (formerly) in his freshmen year. On April 20th, 2018, Nguyen made his return to Multicultural 2018 due to his last appearance in 2015 by performing as a solo performer for three (3) shows. Nguyen performed for the A Rally, B Rally, and for the third show is at the night time show.
On April 27th, 2018, Nguyen performed with Concert Choir for the last time in the annual Mt Pleasant High School Pops Concert for 2018 and the theme was tropical.
On May 8th, 2018, on his Instagram story, Nguyen stated that he will not performing in the Farewell Rally 2018 due to his unforeseen circumstances. His official last performance was the Multicultural Rally 2018 on April 20th, 2018. His hiatus began on June 1st, 2018.
On May 22 2018, Nguyen graduated from Mt Pleasant High School. On June 1st, 2018, he officially on a hiatus from his career due to a break from it since Nguyen announced it in 2017. On June 6th to 28th, he went to Vietnam for a vacation trip.
He also stated on returning to work in community service hours for football and basketball games due to community service hours for his college. That means on August 2018 marks that Steven is the only one remaining as the original student from the Leadership 2014 class and the 2018 alumni left standing to be a representative for Mt Pleasant High School. His first game (football game) (varsity) of 2018 he is appearing is on August 31st, 2018 on Mt Pleasant vs. Willow Glen. He also stated that the reason why he wanted to keep working is because he wants to reach 50 football games working for Varsity team and 100 times doing the concessions for both girls and boys basketball team games.
Note: Today, he had worked 40 Varsity Football Games, and 70 Concessions for girls and boys basketball games, and events in the gym.
On August 31st, 2018, he returned to Mt Pleasant High School in order to work for community service hours for 3 of his courses at college for community service hours for extra credit, also marks his 29th appearance working for Mr Mosqueda and the Mt Pleasant High School Football Home Games for the 2018-2019 Season (Mt Pleasant Vs Willow Glen)September 2018 marks as a 2 year student in college at Evergreen Valley College. (4 year student in EVC due to Summer 2015, 2016 and 2017) On September 7th, 2018, he appeared for working again at the Mt Pleasant vs Gunderson Football Game which marks his 30th game that he works. On September 21st, 2018, he worked his 31st game for Mt Pleasant High School Football Home Games for 2018-2019 Season (Mt Pleasant vs Ann Sobrato) On October 5th, 2018, Nguyen worked his 32nd game (a homecoming football game) (Mt Pleasant vs Evergreen Valley High). October 19th 2018, Nguyen appears in his 33rd football game on MP vs Prospect for the final game for the 2018-2019 football season for JV and Varsity.
2019: Continuing Success and A Big Snap to Leadership Community Service Streak
2019 marks Steven Nguyen's 5th year for working community service for Mt Pleasant High School with Mr. Mosqueda and on November 2019, he had reached 40 football games and 70 concessions. Over the year of 2019, he has been so consistent and been a hardworking individual for college and being a duo with Mr. Mosqueda in working the football games and concessions.
But things turned into a tough spot for Nguyen before 2019 ends.
On November 2019, Mt. Pleasant High School made a decision to not include Steven, the Leadership Community Service Worker/2018 alumni, and Leadership Student of 6 years.
Nguyen stated that he may or may not return for concessions and football games in 2020. He stated that some people didn't want to work with him and some would think he'd be "the problem" or be the one "faltering." Nguyen was also required to sign documents that didn't felt like he would consider doing or giving out his personal information out. Nguyen believes it's something he wouldn't do if he is in the position in terms of fighting for his spot when people don't want to work with him.
He was offered 4 choices.
The first choice is return for 2020 concessions and football games but sign documents.
The second choice is to take a break and stay with the school and its district.
The third choice is to retire but stay with the school and its district.
The fourth and final choice is retire independently.
On Christmas Day 2019, Nguyen got accepted into San Jose State University on Christmas Day of 2019.
Nguyen got accepted in 4 colleges: UCLA, UC Berkeley, Santa Clara University, and San Jose State University.
He ultimately chose San Jose State University.
2020: Snap to the Leadership Community Service, Departing, Success Still Goes On, and the Year of Steven "Sneaky" Nguyen
On January 15, 2020, after a long period of uncertainty of whether he would stay with the school or with the organization, Steven announced that he would be leaving. It would've mark Steven Nguyen's 6th year of being a part of the Leadership football games and concessions community service but, he had officially departed. He retired (for now) but he can make a possible return some point in the future. He is currently taking an advisor role in the East Side Union High School District. Steven Nguyen is not retiring.
On May 2020, he has graduated EVC with straight As and a 4.0 GPA to finish the Spring 2020 Semester. He is graduating as a Communication Studies Major and had an associate's degree from EVC. He is transferring to San Jose State University for the Fall 2020 semester.
On August 2020, Steven went to San Jose State University for the Fall 2020 Semester. For 17 weeks of the SJSU Semester, Steven has gotten straight A's and a 4.0 GPA for the Fall 2020 Semester.
On December 2020, Steven not only get straight A's in San Jose State University, he has straight A's and the 4.0 GPAs from EVC Spring and Fall 2020 Semesters, and in SJSU for the Fall 2020 Semester. This results to Steven Nguyen getting straight A's and a 4.0 GPA for the entire year of 2020.
